thebroker platform becomes thebrokernews!
13 Dezember, 2024 | Aktuell Nicht kategorisiert
To our loyal readers of thebroker,
the thebroker platform will only continue to exist in this form until 31 December 2024. Bruno Kopp, the previous publisher, would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to you.
The good news is that on 1 January 2025, thebroker will continue as thebrokernews under the ownership of Binci Heeb. The platform will be getting a small facelift and a few new features will be waiting for you. I would like to thank Bruno Kopp very much for giving me the chance to report on the insurance industry as editor-in-chief of thebroker almost five years ago. A huge ‘thank you’, Bruno!
I came from daily journalism and actually only had experience as a policyholder. I didn’t think much about the industry itself. But that changed quickly. I rapidly realised that not only am I allowed to report on extraordinary, interesting, diverse topics, the economy, politics, the state and much more, but I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful, albeit challenging, occupation.
I am delighted to be able to tell you that, starting in the new year, Mirela Dimofte will be publishing an additional article for us in thebrokernews every Wednesday. She has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, 20 of which have been in management positions. Mirela has worked for Allianz and Swiss Re and held several positions at the regional group level. She also has extensive international experience, having led projects in Asia, the US, Australia and Western Europe.
She recently set up her own business to develop next-generation insurance solutions. In addition to a Board Certificate from the University of St. Gallen, she holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics from the Academy for Economic Studies in Bucharest. Mirela is passionate about a people-centred economy, modern leadership and new technologies such as AI and blockchain.
In addition to Mirela’s exclusive reports, my articles and interviews, you can also look forward to a podcast that we will publish regularly with guests.
Amélie Beauregard will continue to be responsible for editing. In the future, the female power of our editorial team will triple in one fell swoop.
With the transition from thebroker to thebrokernews our existing offer should become even more extensive and exciting, I would like to thank Cognizant, Helvetia, Pax, PK Rück and WMC IT Solutions AG very much for their support. They believe in me and have already provided me with important capital in an uncomplicated way so that I can launch thebrokernews as planned on 1 January of the new year. Thank you very much for this great trust!
But thebrokernews is also made possible by the multi-entrepreneur and specialist for WordPress websites and SEO, Matthias Gally, from Gally Websolutions GmbH and Erklärungsvideo.ch. He is accommodating and takes a large part of the administration and logistics off my hands with his PixTec Informatik GmbH. A big thank you to him too!
The previous memberships on thebroker will be supplemented by various services. You will find these on thebrokernews from January.
Today, I am already revealing a little secret about the new logo, which will look familiar to you. That’s how it should be, because like thebroker, thebrokernews will report on the entire insurance industry and continue to cover important topics such as cyber security, insurtech solutions and start-ups, as well as artificial intelligence.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our readers from Germany, Israel, the UK, Canada, the US and, of course, Switzerland, who have been able to read the articles and interviews in English in the past. Of course, this will also be the case with thebrokernews. Thank you!
We still have a few arrows in our quiver and will implement them step by step over the next year.
Today, we are starting with the new logo and the new address, all existing users of thebroker do not have to change anything technically in their existing connections. Hopefully, they will look forward to thebrokernews.
Best regards to all of you who have remained loyal to me in the past and will continue to rely on thebrokernews in the future.
Valid from 1 January 2025.
