ESC-Feeling für alle: Der Helvetia Campus wird zehn Tage zur Bühne.

When the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 comes to Basel, it won’t just be the St. Jakobshalle that becomes a stage – the Helvetia Campus on St. Alban-Anlage will also be transformed into a vibrant meeting place full of music, encounters and emotions. For ten days – from May 9 to 18 – the insurance company opens its doors and becomes the heart of the festival in the middle of the city. Under the motto “United by Music”, a place will be created for everyone: fans, neighbors, families, tourists – in short, for everyone who wants to be carried away by the magic of the ESC.

The location couldn’t be better: Just a few minutes’ walk from the St. Jakobshalle, where the big ESC shows take place, Helvetia offers a place where people can meet, exchange ideas and celebrate together in a relaxed atmosphere. The Helvetia Campus becomes a festival site – with concerts, cultural performances, culinary offerings and a varied supporting program.

Why this commitment?

Helvetia puts its heart and soul into its commitment. “The ESC stands for community, diversity and tolerance – values that we at Helvetia not only share, but actively live by,” explains Daniel Brunner, Head of Brand Management at Helvetia. “With our commitment, we not only want to show our solidarity with the Basel location, but also give something back to the population.”

The Swiss insurance company is using this major event to open its headquarters to the people of the city – a symbol of openness and hospitality. Participation is low-threshold: admission to all events on the campus is free.

A feast for all the senses

The event kicks off on May 9 with a big karaoke event that invites the entire city to raise their voices. Whether young or old, solo or as a duet – those who take part even have the chance to win tickets for an ESC show.

In the days that follow, one highlight follows the next: during the day, food stalls tempt visitors with international specialties, while live concerts and DJ sets create a festival atmosphere in the evening. Cozy public viewing in the garden area invites you to share in the excitement of the shows – accompanied by regional drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Experience stars up close

The Helvetia Campus offers a unique opportunity for die-hard ESC fans: in cooperation with the renowned ESC portal wiwibloggs, exclusive “Meet & Greets” with artists will take place. If you’re lucky, you can meet your favorite act, ask questions or get a selfie.

Helvetia also organizes exclusive events for its customers – as a small thank you for their loyalty. It is clear that this is not just about sponsoring, but about genuine encounters.

A strong signal for diversity and cohesion

“By turning Helvetia’s premises into a large living room for everyone, we are creating a space where everyone can feel welcome,” says Daniel Brunner. “This is exactly the spirit that the ESC brings to the world – and that we want to bring to life in Basel.”

With its diverse program on campus, Helvetia shows how a company with a long tradition is breaking new ground in combining social responsibility with cultural commitment.
