With a free, digital self-service tool, users can get an individual overview of their financial security in just 90 seconds thanks to the new Financial Fitness Score. The innovative tool enables a dynamic analysis and simple optimization of the pension situation.
From 2026, pension funds will affix a QR code to the pension certificate that contains all relevant data. Helvetia is the first Swiss insurance company to read this QR code automatically, thereby speeding up analysis. “The user always retains control and decides which data to release,” explains Jan Kundert, Head of Customer and Market Management at Helvetia Switzerland. The tool was developed together with partner vlot AG to maximize user-friendliness and customer benefit.
Financial Fitness Score: Innovation in the pension market
The new Financial Fitness Score summarizes the financial situation in a single figure and allows comparison with a reference group. Risk and pension provision, marital status, age and financial situation are taken into account. Users can playfully test how their score changes when they hedge risks or increase their savings rate.
More transparency and awareness
With the digital pension check, Helvetia is promoting awareness of its own pension provision and setting new standards in the industry. “The Financial Fitness Score creates transparency and guidance for everyone who wants to actively shape their financial future,” says Hedwig Ulmer, Head of Pensions at Helvetia Switzerland. The tool is open to all target groups and supports well-founded decisions relating to pensions.
