Reaching the top with AI: new top training course for managers in the insurance industry

“If you want to be a leader in the insurance market tomorrow, you have to invest in artificial intelligence and data skills today.” This is the motto of a new training program from the collaboration between the Swiss Re Institute and the University of St. Gallen, which provides practical solutions and starts in November.

In November 2024, thebrokernews reported that the Swiss Re Institute had developed a course for insurtechs together with the Swiss InsurTech Hub (SIH). This was intended to help insurtech professionals deepen their knowledge of basic insurance topics in February 2025. However, the two-day program could not be held due to a lack of participants. Thanks to the close partnership, future collaboration with the SIH will continue to be examined.

Training for managers in the insurance industry

Digitalization and data-driven processes are fundamentally changing the insurance business. The new virtual training program “AI and Data for Insurance Leaders” (EMEA/Americas and EMEA/Asia) specifically addresses these challenges and enables managers to confidently steer innovations in underwriting, claims management and customer interaction.
