HDI Global Names Georgina Smart Head of Global Bloodstock & Equine

HDI Global has appointed Georgina Smart as Head of Global Risk Bloodstock & Equine, effective 15 October 2025. Smart brings extensive expertise from her previous roles at Ashby Underwriting, Tokio Marine Kiln, and Catlin Underwriting Agencies.

Based in London, Smart will spearhead HDI’s bloodstock and equine underwriting and distribution strategy across international markets, including the US. Her appointment reflects HDI’s commitment to strengthening its specialised equine insurance offering.

Strong leadership in a niche market
